THE BIRTH OF THE "PEOPLE SOUND" COMPILATION CD

It all started with a brilliant idea by KEVIN J HERBERT (artist)....

Kevin put forward a suggestion that a competition be run in the Peoplesound.com forums, which would be open to any artist on Peoplesound who wished to enter. The idea of the competition was to ascertain the "best track" voted for by visitors to the site.

A number of artists came forward to express their interest, and so THE BEST TRACK COMPETITION began ...

HOW IT WORKED ... Each week an artist's page was put forward for all to listen to and vote for their favourite track by that particular artist 'of the week'. By the end of the term there were a large number of tracks so, for the grand finale, Kevin made available all the weekly 'winning' tracks so that the general public could then vote for their overall favourite track.


AND THE WINNER........???

That well deserved title goes go - STEREOVISION, with their track "Stargazers".

Well done to you, guys!!!

SO WHY ARE WE 'DONATING' THESE TRACKS TO LUPUS ...?

That idea came about during the period in which the 'Grand Finale' was being run ...

One of the featured artists suggested that it would be a great idea if a compilation album was made for charity, using the tracks in the competition, and asked the other artists if they would be willing to give their authority for have their track included ...... well, it would be such a shame to waste all that talent, after all !!!

The response was overwhelming, with the resulting CD being - "PEOPLE SOUND" ... a compilation album made purely for raising money for charity.

All the artists have very kindly given their original work, royalty free, in support of the charity.

All production costs for this CD are being paid for by the fund raising organiser out of their own pocket - therefore 100% of the CD sale price IS GUARANTEED to go to LUPUS UK.
